J-Carter "Everybody Hates Me" | Rap Nerd Reviews

New Jersey, aka Dirty Jerz is known for producing some of hip hops most skilled lyricists. J-Carter hopes to continue that legacy with his latest album "Everybody Hates Me". After listening to the project I see that Carter uses many different flows and rhyme patterns to captivate his audience. The rap game needs a breath of fresh air in this time where a lot of music sounds the same. With 36 Tracks and total run time of over 2 hours, I was excited to give this album a spin.
"Not even camera's get the picture/ of who I am, when this mic's in my hand I transform into a different man"

J- Carter "Everybody Hates Me" | Rap Nerd Review
At first glance when I saw the long track list I thought it would be hard to get through but it ended up being an easy listen. I usually hate long albums, but depending on how you look at it, it can also be seen as a seasonal playlist. The project starts out with a serious tone, then switches to a more mellow smooth vibe. I believe THIS style of music is for sure J-Carter's strong suit. He surely knows how to craft a song to sound like a hit. "Third Wheel" and "Ain't About That" are the first couple of songs that really got my attention with their undeniable carribean vibes. Other high points of the project were "Thinking of You", "Not The Same", "Strength In You", "Step Back", and "Questions No Answers".
"This world will test your strength and have you looking both ways/ haters will go to any length to lead you astray"
J-Carter "Strength In You"
In Conclusion J-Carter delivered a solid project with "Everybody Hates Me". He jumps into several different styles so depending on which style of his you prefer, there's something for everyone on here. I do think that this album could have easily been split into 3 seperate projects with a different vibe for each for the current attention span of today's music listeners. Rap Nerd is here for the progression and rooting for J-Carter to blow up larger than life!
